January 7, Tuesday Undergraduate academic appeals deadline
January 13, Monday Classes begin, 8:00 a.m.
January 13–17, Mon.–Fri. Late registration and schedule adjustment
January 17, Friday Financial aid satisfactory academic progress appeals deadline; hours locked for financial aid purposes.
January 17, Friday Last day to change course(s) or course section(s) without special permission
January 17, Friday Last day to drop a course for tuition and fees refund
January 20, Monday Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. holiday. Classes dismissed; offices closed.
January 21, Tuesday Deadline for graduate students to apply to graduate in May 2014
January 31, Friday Final deadline for undergraduates to apply to graduate in May 2014
February 1–28 Undergraduate Students declare or change major in February.
February 14, Friday Deadline for undergraduates to apply to student teach during Spring 2015
March 1, Saturday Financial aid priority filing date for 2014–15 academic year
March 7, Friday Last day to drop course(s) without academic penalty
March 8, Saturday Instruction ends for Spring Break, 1:00 p.m.
March 17, Monday Classes resume after Spring Break, 8:00 a.m.
Mar. 17–Apr. 23, Mon.–Wed. Fall advising for continuing students, by appointment
March 19, Wednesday Final date for May doctoral candidates' oral examinations
March 26, Wednesday Deadline for filing one signed copy of dissertation with the Graduate School
Mar. 31–Apr. 23, Mon.–Wed. Fall 2014 registration for continuing students
April 8, Tuesday Deadline for filing one copy of thesis with the Graduate School
April 11, Friday Student Excellence Day
April 18, Friday Spring holiday. Classes dismissed; offices closed.
April 29, Tuesday University follows Friday schedule; last day of classes.
April 30, Wednesday Final date for complete clearance of May candidates for graduate degrees. Deadline for final submission of thesis or dissertation to the Graduate School.
April 30, Wednesday Reading Day
May 1–3, May 5–7, Thur.–Sat., Mon.–Wed. Final examinations
