Let's begin the assignment on a musical note with this brilliant (though perhaps somewhat exaggerated) portrayal of life in a postwar Kommunalka (3:34) in Moscow in the mid-1950s (with a brief recollection of WWII worked in as well) from the 2008 Russian film "Stilyagi."
