As highlighted by our national rankings, UNC Greensboro is committed to serving all of our students, including our traditionally underserved populations. 50% of our students are first generation, 53% of our students are people of color, 46% of our undergraduates receive Pell grants. UNCG is an emerging Hispanic Serving Institution (HSI) and No. 1 in the UNC System for total percentage of Hispanic/Latino student enrollment. This year, UNCG welcomed its largest first-year class since 2019 – with 2,613 students contributing to an 11.5% increase from Fall 2022.
Once on campus, they have the opportunity to join over 250 student groups, 7 living-learning communities, 4 residential colleges, and more than 175 undergraduate areas of study and 250 master’s and doctoral programs.
