Elliot Goodine earned his PhD from the University of Texas at Austin, and his BA and MA from the University of Alberta. He has worked at UNCG since 2019, having taught on topics in ethics and political philosophy. His main line of research, stemming from his dissertation, examines questions at the intersections of metaethics, moral epistemology, and early modern philosophy (especially Hume). He also maintains interests in feminist philosophy, aesthetics, and normative ethics. Dr. Goodine has presented his research at the meetings for the North Carolina Philosophical Association, The Western Canadian Philosophical Association, and the Hume Society, among others. Beyond his interests in philosophy, he enjoys arthouse cinema, playing guitar, and walks along North Carolina’s scenic trails with his dog.
