Consumer, Apparel, and Retail Studies, B.S.

UNC Greensboro’s Bachelor of Science in Consumer, Apparel, and Retail Studies (CARS) is available in two concentrations: Apparel Design and Retailing and Consumer Studies. This program prepares students for the broad scope of the industry and produces graduates who understand designing, manufacturing, marketing, and apparel-related products. Your classroom learning will include best practices and real-world examples from the industry so that everything you learn will be relevant to your future career.

Program Distinctions

• Our B.S. in Consumer, Apparel, and Retail Studies program is accredited by the Textile and Apparel Program Accreditation Commission of the International Textile and Apparel Association.

• Internships from North Carolina to New York and beyond allow you to work for the brands that inspire you such as Polo Ralph Lauren, Saks, Inc., Belk Stores, JCPenney, and VF Corporation.
• There are a variety of student clubs available, such as Alpha Kappa Psi, Beta Gamma Sigma, National Millennial Community, North Carolina Sales Institute, Spartan Investment Club, and THREADS.

After Graduation
