The BA in Art at UNC Greensboro is a comprehensive liberal arts degree with a grounding in the humanities and sciences. Students in the BA in Art program concentrate in Studio Art, and Art History.

The Studio Art concentration combines a general arts education with the development of studio skills. Coursework is done in Art History and Studio Art. Concentration in art history

The Art History Concentration is an academic liberal arts program with emphasis on the visual rather than the verbal tradition. With its focus on critical thinking, visual and textual analysis, and writing and research, the BA in Art History provides a solid intellectual foundation and prepares students for a number of graduate programs beyond art history, including archeology, journalism, history, cultural studies, anthropology, and even law. The School of Art faculty have developed two unique and dynamic minors that support and expand upon your Major Degree.
