Budget analyst Chris Russell has been a steady presence and a source of encouragement and guidance for staff who manage UNC Greensboro’s finances. August 1 marked 45 years since her first day of work at UNCG, and the Department of Financial Planning & Budgets celebrated her dedication to the campus community.


Democratization of learning, through peer-to-peer education

Dr. Cristiane S. Damasceno first participated in the international Learning Circles project when it was piloted at the Chicago Public Library in 2015. She has worked with the Greensboro Public Library over the last two years to implement the program locally.

Fulbright grant brings international fellows to teach in local schools

This fall, 22 secondary school teachers, who come from 21 different countries and five world regions, will be paired with local teachers at Doris Henderson Newcomers School, Western Guilford High School, and Middle College at UNCG, thanks to the Fulbright Teaching Excellence and Achievement (Fulbright TEA) Program.
