One worked in off-Broadway plays in New York; another brings the perspective of a patient from a multiple sclerosis diagnosis early in her nursing career.


NSF Spartans ADVANCing Research Award

The funding, which aims at increasing STEM faculty among historically underrepresented communities, has been approved for the 2022-23 academic year. The Spartans ADVANCE team provides guidelines on who is eligible and how to apply.


Hodges donates gift towards UNCG’s archives

Luther Hodges Jr. further supports UNCG’s Light the Way campaign and honors his mother, the namesake of the Martha Blakeney Hodges Special Collections and University Archives (SCUA). The gift will create an archival researcher room as well as support special collections residents, graduate student fellows, and interns.

Taking the lead on trauma training for professionals

Counselors, psychologists, therapists, and other professionals such as educators are struggling to help the vast numbers of traumatized people in their care. A new certificate program offered by the Department of Counseling and Educational Development at UNC Greensboro aims to equip mental health professionals with the tools they need to identify and treat trauma.


New additions, big changes coming to Jackson Library
