Susan G Komen Breast Cancer Walk

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and as many of you maybe aware, UNCG School of Nursing is participating in the Susan G Komen Walk this year. However, the walk is just the start. Susan G Komen counts on the contribution of funds that can be dedicated to breast cancer research. Our goal is to raise $2500.
Registration is easy and allows you to participate in the walk as well as send emails, text messages, and social media post to assist in gathering funds. This year alone, more than 300,000 people living in the U.S. are expected to be diagnosed with breast cancer. And while great strides have been made in prevention and treatment, there is still so much work to be done to find the cures to end this terrible disease.

The walk begins the morning of October 26 at the Guilford Courthouse National Military Park at 2332 New Garden Road, Greensboro, NC 27410.
