On Wednesday, November 22, Lloyd International Honors College Dean Omar Ali announced that Dr. Frances Bottenberg was chosen to be the next Assistant Dean of the Honors College. She will lead Honors Admissions and the Scholar’s Program, with teaching responsibilities among a range of other duties. She will begin the new position on January 10, 2024.
Ali says, “Canadian by birth and trilingual (English, French, and German), with a Ph.D. in Philosophy from Stony Brook University, she has been a Visiting Professor of Philosophy at Elon University and served for seven years as a Lecturer in the Department of Philosophy at UNCG. Dr. Bottenberg was most recently Assessment Coordinator in the Office of Assessment, Accreditation, and Academic Program Planning, and a recent recipient of the Honors College’s Excellence in Teaching Award.”
