Posted on April 20, 2023

Please join the Division of Student Success in congratulating the 2022-2023 award winners and nominees for their achievements and contributions to student success.

Dr. Joyce Clapp, the Faculty Advisor recipient of the 2022-2023 UNCG Advising Excellence Award, is described by a colleague as “a shining example of professionalism.” Joyce excels at handling difficult advising scenarios and building trusting relationships with students. Joyce’s advisees report the highest satisfaction rates on their annual advising evaluations.

Amanda Everhart, the Professional Advisor recipient of the 2022-2023 Advising Excellence Award, is someone whose “students love and appreciate her, and so do her colleagues in the Bryan Undergraduate Student Services.” Amanda’s colleague said, “In Bryan Undergraduate Students Services, our lives would not function, and work would not be possible without her.”

Dr. Jessica McCall, the recipient of the 2022-2023 Outstanding First Year Student Advocate Award, leverages her experience working with first year students in designing and coordinating a course specifically designed to support student success both inside and outside the classroom.
