Get to Know Us

Originally from East Tennessee, Rob has called Greensboro home since 2005. He comes to the Center for New North Carolinians with two decades of experience in nonprofit spaces, focusing mostly on community development and refugee resettlement. After volunteering and serving on the board for a community development organization in Eswatini, Rob found a passion to build bridges and facilitate a welcoming community in the Piedmont Triad.

Most recently, Rob worked for seven years with World Relief Triad, a refugee resettlement agency serving in Winston-Salem and High Point. He begin working with community engagement, volunteer coordination, and advocacy and assumed the director role in 2019. He enjoys creating healthy organizational structure and culture that is people focused and centers the communities whom we serve.

Rob received his BA in Psychology from Wake Forest University and an MDiv from Southwestern Seminary. He also holds certificates in Executive Leadership and HR Management from Cornell University.

Outside of work, Rob enjoys reading, theater, and all things outdoors, especially hiking and biking the Blue Ridge Mountains.

Rob joined the CNNC as Director in 2023.
