COLLEGE COSTS AND FEES
UNCG tuition and fees are updated each year and charged based on factors such as student type, term, program, and state residency. Our Bill Estimator Tool gives students a sense of their expected costs based on current rates. Student bills are issued after students register for classes and payment is due at the beginning of each semester.
FINANCIAL AID
The first step to paying for school for most students is applying for financial aid. UNCG financial aid is primarily need-based and may include grants, work-study, and/or loans. Eligible students should submit the Free Application for Federal Financial Aid (FAFSA) as early as possible because certain types of aid are available only on a first come first served basis.
SCHOLARSHIPS
We award a variety of scholarships to select new and current students every year based on financial need and academic merit. Many scholarships are awarded automatically as part of the admissions process for students who apply early. Current students can apply each spring for a variety of scholarships available through academic departments.
GRADUATE ASSISTANTSHIPS AND FELLOWSHIPS
Graduate Assistantships are paid positions that support the teaching, research, or service mission of UNC Greensboro and are reserved for students pursuing graduate degrees. Most students with graduate assistantships obtain them through their academic programs.
Fellowships may be offered by UNC Greensboro or may be part of nationally competitive grants, scholarships, and similar funding opportunities for students. Typically, fellowships fund study, research, or teaching in the United States or abroad.
