The MultiLiteracy Centers
Each year, the Multiliteracy Centers support thousands of students, faculty, and staff in their awareness of how multiple literacies (written, oral, spatial, visual, gestural, and multi-modal) impact ways of learning, communicating, and composing.
The Multiliteracy Centers, comprised of the University Writing Center, and the University Speaking Center provide communication support for students, faculty, and staff in two ways: through one-on-one and group sessions that focus on dialogic feedback and through customized classroom workshops that address specific learning objectives. Consulting sessions focus on conversations about the writing, speaking and digital projects; these sessions promote a collaborative, non-hierarchical approach that sees consultants who work with writers, speakers or digital creators as participants in a learner-centered exchange that values shared knowledge.

- Collaboration – between consultants and communicators generates shared knowledge and understanding.

OUR CENTERS
The Writing Center
The mission of our Writing Center is to connect writers with readers. This helps to make good writers better writers. It also encourages writers to develop an awareness about themselves that will help them after they leave the Writing Center.
The University Speaking Center
The University Speaking Center provides consultation support and instructional services for UNC Greensboro students, faculty, employees, and members of the Greensboro community. Our support is designed to help speakers further develop their own oral communication confidence and competence. We provide feedback, guidance, instruction, and other support for oral communication. We do not operate from a one size fits all philosophy and we never have.
