Biography
Abigail Hart joined the CVPA Dean’s Office staff in July 2017 as the Arts Education Student Service Specialist and transitioned to the Undergraduate Academic Advisor position in 2022. Hart is a graduate of the UNCG Theatre Education program (2014) and received her Masters in Academic Advising from Kansas State University (2022). Hart seeks to provide resources and guidance to incoming CVPA students to facilitate student autonomy with their degree path and a vibrant, engaging, and meaningful college experience that wholistically develops each advisee. Hart is committed to providing affirming advising that emphasizes equity, diversity, and inclusion practices. She is a member of the National ACademic ADvising Association (NACADA) and is a member of their Advising First Year Student Community. She has also served on the steering committee for the Education Advisors Community for two years.
