Timothy Johnson
Tim Johnson joined the UNCG Housing and Residence Life Staff in 2011. Tim holds Bachelors and Masters Degrees in Education from the University of Dayton and a Juris Doctorate from the Rutgers University School of Law at Newark. He has spent more than 25 years in service to students throughout the country. He served as a Resident Director at University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point, Area Coordinator/Assistant Director of Philadelphia College of Textiles and Science, Assistant Director for Residential Life at Temple University, and most recently served as the Associate Dean for Housing and Residence Life at Rutgers University-Newark. In addition to his work as a housing professional, Tim is also the founding partner of Reslife.net, which now serves over 200 Universities around the world including, US, Australia, South Africa, and Singapore. Tim has stayed active over the years within our most esteemed professional organizations. He has served as President of the Mid-Atlantic Association of College and University Housing Officers (MACUHO), and also served on the Executive Board and most recently served as Program Chair for the Association of College and University Housing Officers International (ACUHO-I) conference. His professional interests include student rights, the history of higher education, and technology. His personal interests include history, music, and theater. In his spare time Tim has performed in over 30 musical theater productions.
