Instructional Design, P.B.C.

UNC Greensboro’s online post-baccalaureate certificate (P.B.C.) in Instructional Design program requires 12 credit hours, including two required courses in instructional communication and technologies as well as instructional design.

This online program provides students with the knowledge and skills necessary to support instructional design projects across a variety of contexts.

The Student Experience

Graduate students in the School of Education (SOE) benefit from hands-on learning that is woven throughout our programs and co-curricular opportunities. This online program is ideal for anyone who plans to design, develop, and/or deliver educational programming, whether online or in person, across a variety of contexts. Students in this program develop a deeper understanding of the design process as well as learning and instructional theories, and gain hands-on experience in creating instructional products. 

After Graduation

• Jobs for training and development specialists are expected to grow 9% through 2029, according to the US Bureau of Labor Statistics
• Graduates in this field may be eligible for positions such as these: Instructional designer, training and development specialist, instructional specialist, educational technologist, learning specialist, e-learning specialist, curriculum developer, and instructional technology consultant.
