From costumes to carnivals, Halloween on UNC Greensboro’s campus has been observed in many ways throughout the University’s 130-year history, with students seeking to tap into the spooky spirit of the season or simply to celebrate making it halfway through the semester.

What Halloween traditions did State Normal students enjoy in the early 1900s? What costumes did Spartans don in the 80s?

Transport yourself to campus Halloween parties of the past through invitations, clippings from The Carolinian, and photos pulled from University Archives.
