In addition to the topics on which you wrote paragraphs (Greek family, Conflict in the Bacchae, and Qualities of the Hero), here are some other questions which you might think about.

1.  What did the Greeks believe about death?  What happened to you when you died and was death something to fear?

2.  What is the connection between myth and religious cult behavior?

3.  What did the mystery cults (Demeter, Dionysus, Orpheus) have in common in areas of practice and belief?  What benefits did they promise?

4.  Give an example and be able to explain how historical and moral allegory work as ways to analyze the meaning of a myth.

5.  Give an example and be able to explain how Freud might analyze a particular myth, and not just the myth of Oedipus.
