Transfer Credit Form

Transfer Articulation staff will evaluate and pre-approve certain courses from other institutions to transfer back to UNCG for currently enrolled students. Students who are considering enrolling at another institution during the summer or planning to take advantage of a distance learning opportunity may submit a Transfer Credit Form before registering for the course to confirm the credit they will receive.

Compliance with the North Carolina Comprehensive Articulation Agreement dictates the acceptance of certain courses from the North Carolina Community College System. Students planning to attend a school in the NC Community College System are never required to submit a Transfer Credit Form to the University Registrar’s Office as Transfer Articulation will be honoring the North Carolina Community College Transfer Equivalencies list.

Remember that other transfer equivalency lists for some in-state four-year institutions and out-of-state institutions can be found at this Transfer Equivalency Course Search. While these lists are not comprehensive, they may answer general questions about how courses from institutions outside the North Carolina Community College System have transferred to UNCG in the past.

Transfer Articulation is authorized to approve certain courses and credits to transfer to UNCG. Please reference the table below to determine the best method of submitting the Transfer Credit Form.

Online Transfer Credit Form Option

Students unable to submit a paper-copy of the Transfer Credit Form are invited to email Transfer Articulation. For prompt response, Transfer Credit Form submitted via email must include the following information:

  1. Subject line must read “Transfer Credit Form”
  2. Course description cut/pasted from school’s online catalog
  3. A link to either the course description or the school’s catalog

Students unable to submit a Transfer Credit form signed by an academic departmental authority should request their department to submit a Curriculum Modification Form, an online form accessed through ShareNet.
