Graduation and Beyond...
  • After you have graduated from the University of North Carolina Greensboro, many opportunities still exist for you to remain involved and gain additional experience in the U.S.  Please consider the options below and remember to stay in touch with the International Programs Center.

  • Career Services Center: If you haven’t already visited the Career Services Center for important information, resources and career assistance, plan on doing so.

  • Optional Practical Training (OPT): OPT is an excellent way to obtain work experience in the U.S. after you have completed your academic program at UNCG.  For more information, please visit our Employment page [different page], or an International Student Advisor.

  • H1b and Other Work Visas/Status:  If you are interesting in learning more about opportunities beyond graduation and OPT, consider the H1b or other work visas/status.  For more information, visit the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) website and AILA (American Immigration Lawyers Association) for more information.

  • UNCG Alumni Association: After returning to your home country, stay involved with UNCG through the Alumni Association. If you don’t have a chapter in your country, consider starting one as a way to bring together other UNCG graduates and maintain your connection with the University.
