International student Hyelim “Heather” Shin shares her story about leaving Wonju, South Korea, to pursue a degree in psychology at UNCG. She said the assistance from faculty makes a huge impact on the lives of students and she wants to establish the same environment in her home country.

International student, Rudolph Bedeley, shares his story of leaving Ghana to pursue additional education in the U.S. He is pursuing a Ph.D. in information systems at UNCG. Bedeley said America has done a lot of good for him and has shown him he can do anything he puts his mind to.
International student, Luisa Fandos Gomez-Marco, shares her story of travelling from Madrid to the United States to further her education at UNCG. She is pursuing a Ph.D in linguistics. In addition to meeting her fiancé, Gomez-Marco said her best experiences in the U.S. were moving around so much and learning to laugh at her own mistakes. She believes the experience is worth it and has helped her grow.
